DISCLAIMER: The results are specific to the facts and legal circumstances of each of the clients' cases and should not be used to form an expectation that the same results could be obtained for other clients in similar matters without reference to the specific factual and legal circumstances of each client's case.

On July 13, 2017, our client, an injured truck driver, reached a confidential seven figure settlement. We had filed his case in Cook County because of the serious injuries he sustained as a delivery truck driver.

In January 2013, our client made a delivery to a construction site in suburban Chicago.  In the process, he helped the construction workers unload his delivery. Our client pulled a shipping crate toward the back of the delivery truck.  When he pulled on the wood crate, one of the boards snapped and Jim’s momentum carried him out the back of his truck.  His left leg landed on the concrete below. The full weight of his body caused permanent injuries in his leg and knee.

In the four and a half years, our client underwent five surgeries, over one hundred therapy sessions, and lived with daily pain and discomfort.  The settlement should provide for his future medical needs.

We are grateful to our client for entrusting us with this highly sensitive matter.  We are also grateful to have the constitutional right to a jury trial for our clients in this country, and grateful to jurors who are ready and willing to decide matters of their peers.
